North Ayrshire and Arran ist ein Wahlkreis (englisch constituency) im Westen Schottlands, der einen Abgeordneten ins britische Unterhaus (House of Commons) entsendet. Er besteht seit 2005 und liegt in der Council Area North Ayrshire. Bedeutende Orte im Wahlkreis sind Ardrossan, Beith, Dalry, Kilbirnie, Kilwinning, Largs, Saltcoats und Stevenston; ebenso gehören die im Firth of Clyde gelegenen Inseln Arran und Great Cumbrae dazu.
Geschichte
Die Boundary Commission for Scotland schuf den Wahlkreis im Hinblick auf die Unterhauswahl 2005. Er entstand aus einem großen Teil des aufgelösten Wahlkreises Cunninghame North. 2024 kam es im Rahmen einer periodischen Überprüfung zu verschiedenen Änderungen des Grenzverlaufs.
Der Wahlkreis umfasst(e) folgende Gebiete:
- 2005–2024: die North Ayrshire Council Area mit Ausnahme jener Gebiete, die zum Wahlkreis Central Ayrshire gehören[2]
- seit 2024: in der North Ayrshire Council Area die Wards Ardrossan & Arran, Dalry & West Kilbride, Kilbirnie & Beith, North Coast & Cumbraes, Saltcoats und Stevenston[3]
