Argyll, Bute and South Lochaber ist ein Wahlkreis (englisch constituency) im Westen Schottlands, der einen Abgeordneten ins britische Unterhaus (House of Commons) entsendet. Er besteht seit 2024 und liegt in den Council Areas Argyll and Bute und Highland. Bedeutende Orte im Wahlkreis sind Campbeltown, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Inveraray und Oban; ebenso gehören mehrere Inseln der Inneren Hebriden dazu, darunter Bute, Colonsay, Gigha, Islay und Jura.
Geschichte
Die Boundary Commission for Scotland schuf den Wahlkreis im Hinblick auf die Unterhauswahl 2024. Er entstand aus zwei aufgelösten Wahlkreisen, und zwar dem größten Teil von Argyll and Bute sowie einem kleinen Teil von Ross, Skye and Lochaber.
Der Wahlkreis umfasst folgende Gebiete:
- seit 2024: in der Argyll and Bute Council Area die Wards Cowal, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Helensburgh & Lomond South, Isle of Bute, Kintyre and the Islands, Lomond North, Mid Argyll, Oban South and the Isles, Oban North and Lorn und South Kintyre sowie in der Highland Council Area ein Teil des Wards Fort William & Ardnamurchan.[2]
