Bình Dương is a ward (phường) of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.[1]
On June 16, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025. Accordingly, the entire natural area and population size of Phú Mỹ, Hòa Phú, and Phú Tân wards of the former Thủ Dầu Một city, and Phú Chánh ward of the former Tân Uyên city, are reorganized to form a new ward named Bình Dương.[2] The ward is the central business district and administrative centre of the former Bình Dương province and located in a planned community named as Bình Dương New City (Thành phố mới Bình Dương), which is served as a "new downtown" of the former province, while the "old downtown" is in Phú Cường, Bình Dương.
