obmeniť pf (imperfective obmieňať or obmeňovať)

  1. (transitive) to modify slightly, to vary, to refresh (to give something a slightly different form, appearance, or character; to partially change the composition of something)
    Synonyms: pozmeniť, obnoviť, upraviť
    Spevák trochu obmenil svoj repertoár na letné turné.The singer varied his repertoire a bit for the summer tour.
  2. (reflexive with sa) to vary slightly, to be modified (to acquire a slightly different character or form)
    Zmenou predpony sa obmení aj význam slovesa.By changing the prefix, the meaning of the verb is also modified.
  3. (reflexive with sa) to renew, to regenerate (of an organism or tissue: to undergo a process of partial replacement or renewal)
