Usage notes
- Verbs of class 6 and class 7 (see template ta-conj-auto) geminate this marker into -க்கிறு- (-kkiṟu-) instead.
- சாதி (cāti) + -க்கிறு- (-kkiṟu-) + -ஆன் (-āṉ) → சாதிக்கிறான் (cātikkiṟāṉ, “He achieves”)
- மற (maṟa) + -க்கிறு- (-kkiṟu-) + -ஆள் (-āḷ) → மறக்கிறாள் (maṟakkiṟāḷ, “She forgets”)
- In Spoken Tamil, this marker is often shortened or outright dropped when not in germinated form. For example,
