மூச்சுவிடு • (mūccuviṭu) (intransitive)

1. to breathe, respire, take a breather

   தலைக்குமேல் வேலை கொட்டிக்கிடக்கிறது! மூச்சுவிடக்கூட நேரமில்லை.

   talaikkumēl vēlai koṭṭikkiṭakkiṟatu! mūccuviṭakkūṭa nēramillai.

   There's so much work to do! There's no time to even take a breather.

2. (idiomatic, chiefly in the negative, expressed or implied) to breathe a word, make even a mention of

   நடந்ததைக் குறித்து வெளியே மூச்சுவிட்டால் நான் தொலைந்தேன்.

   naṭantataik kuṟittu veḷiyē mūccuviṭṭāl nāṉ tolaintēṉ.

   If I even breathe a word about what happened, I'm undone.
