A voiced retroflex lateral fricative is a type of consonantal sound. The 'implicit' IPA letter for this sound, ⟨𝼅[1] is overtly supported by the extIPA.[2] In traditional IPA, it can be transcribed ⟨ɭ̝⟩ or (dated) ⟨ɭ˔⟩.
