Etymology
Literally, “one who is causing someone to learn”, from the root 'an (“to have, possess, keep”) with the singular human nominalizing suffix -enh. Equivalent to xwdoxwdel'ighenh (“student”, literally “one who learns”), with the causative ɬ-classifier in place of the l-classifier and the indefinite object prefix ch'-.
