Etymology

ho- (space, area, things) + -di- (oral) + ∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -d- (classifier, passive)-ní (neuter imperfective stem of root -NIID, “to say”).

This form is equivalent in etymology and meaning to haʼní, but without deletion of di-.
