Etymology
ho- (“space, area, things”) + -di- (“oral”) + ∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -d- (classifier, passive) + -ní (neuter imperfective stem of root -NIID, “to say”).
This form is equivalent in etymology and meaning to haʼní, but without deletion of di-.
