      (literally, “I haven’t ever spoken to him but Gaelic.”)

Usage notes

  • Used with the preposition ri when meaning speaking to:
    Cha do bhruidhinn mi ris. ― I did not speak to him.
  • Used with the preposition air when meaning speaking about:
    Bruidhnidh iad air an àite. ― They will speak about the place.
