    Uncertain; probably borrowed from Dravidian, ultimately from Proto-Dravidian *po- (β€œto perforate”), with the same source as *𑀧𑁄𑀓 (*poka, β€œhollow”), Sanskrit ΰ€­ΰ₯‚ΰ€• (bhΕ«ka, β€œhole”).[1]
