Borrowed from Hindi वृन्दावन (vŕndāvan), the name of a city at Uttar Pradesh, India with religious importance for Hindus as the childhood place of Krishna, one of the main deities in Hinduism; toponym was popularised in 2019 by Indonesian dubbed broadcasts of the cartoon Little Krishna. This nickname also became derogatory because in its early usage, online users used it to depict slums to represent India.
