Usage notes
The suffix -aeismus (or -æismus) is a hypercorrect form not attested in Classical Latin, as it would imply a Greek -αϊισμός (-aïismós), which does not exist. Greek formations use -αϊσμός (-aïsmós) instead, Latinized as -aismus: e.g. Ancient Greek Ἰουδαϊσμός (Ioudaïsmós) (Latin iudaismus), from Ancient Greek Ἰουδαῖος (Ioudaîos) (Latin iudaeus).
