საჼ
Bats
Etymology
Uncertain. Back-formation from ნჵაჲჸსაჼ (n'ayʾsã). It is unclear whether it is related to სანი (sani, “door(s)”). Nikolaev, Starostin (1994) believe that the form as the second part of the derivative ნჵაჲჸსაჼ (n'ayʾsã) has cognates with Chechen са (sa, “corner; joint, edge”), Ingush са (sa, “corner (viewed from inside)”) and goes back to Proto-Nakh *saᶰ.
