სანი
Bats
Etymology
Uncertain. It is unclear whether it is related to საჼ (sã, “door”), since this form is recorded in dictionaries only in the second millennium. Schiefner (1856) compares with Ancient Greek σᾰνίδες (sănídes, “folding doors”), but this is apparently just a coincidence.
