Etymology
धृ (dhṛ, “to hold, support”) + -मन् (-man) From Proto-Indo-Aryan *dʰárma, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *dʰárma, from Proto-Indo-European *dʰér-mn̥, from the root *dʰer- (“to hold, support”). See धर्म (dhárma). Compare also धरिमन् (dhariman).
