    Inherited from Old Hindi आधा (ādhā), आध (ādha),[1] from Prakrit अद्ध (addha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit अर्धक (ardhaka), अर्ध (ardha).[2][3] Doublet of अर्धक (ardhak) and अर्ध (ardh). Cognate with Gujarati અરધું (aradhũ), Marathi अर्धा (ardhā).
