Les plus grands succès de Céline Dion (transl. "Celine Dion's greatest hits") is the first greatest hits album by Canadian singer Celine Dion. It was released in Quebec, Canada on 17 September 1984, through TBS and distributed by Trans-Canada Disques. Les plus grands succès de Céline Dion includes songs from Dion's first five studio albums released between 1981 and 1983. Part of the sales proceeds went to the Dion-sponsored Cystic Fibrosis Association.
Background and conception
On 17 September 1984, Dion launched Les plus grands succès de Céline Dion in the Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine in Montreal, Canada.[1] The album was sold in the Steinberg's supermarkets and part of the profits benefited the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Association.[2]
