2024–25 Zus Coffee Thunderbelles season

The 2024–25 Zus Coffee Thunderbelles season is the second season of the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

The Thunderbelles began their off-season acquisitions with the signing of volleyball veteran Jovelyn Gonzaga from the Cignal HD Spikers before doing a sister team transfer with the Farm Fresh Foxies, which saw three of its players move to Zus Coffee.

In the All-Filipino Conference, despite a 2–1 start throughout November, the team wasn't able to continue the momentum, finishing the preliminary round with a 4–7 record with 14 points, ending up at ninth place. After a loss to the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the qualifying round, the team was placed in Pool A of the play-in tournament. They first beat Cignal in five sets, and with a four-set victory over the Capital1 Solar Strikers, the team advanced to the final round.[1] In the best-of-three quarterfinals against the Petro Gazz Angels, the Thunderbelles were able to sweep the first match, but were swept in the last two matches, ending their run in a reverse sweep.[2]

Ahead of the preseason PVL on Tour, Zus Coffee brought in Alyssa Eroa from the Galeries Tower Highrisers and Maika Ortiz from the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to their roster. In the prelims, Zus Coffee finish with a 3–2 record, but with all of their wins being in five sets, they only accrued seven points, finishing fourth. In the knockout round, the team beat Choco Mucho in a five-set match which led them to the final round, where they were swept by PLDT in the quarterfinals.[3]

Despite not making the semifinals, Zus Coffee was invited to take part in the Invitational Conference following guest team Kurashiki Ablaze's inability to take part.[4] The team lost all five matches in the prelims without earning any points.[5]

For the Reinforced Conference, the team will bring in American player Anna DeBeer to be their foreign guest player for the conference.[6][7] The team had their best finish in the prelims after placing second with a 7–1 record, racking up 20 points along the way. They then swept Capital1 in the quarterfinals to clinch their first-ever semifinals berth.[8][9]
