From lát (“to see”) +‎ -juk (first-person plural definite imperative suffix, assimilated to -suk) +‎ a (“the”) +‎ medve (“bear”) +‎ -t (accusative suffix), literally “let's see the bear”. From an anecdote where a theatre audience member shouts this phrase after expecting to see a bear on the stage as the main attraction and getting bored with the regular show consisting of dialogues.[1]
