Etymology

    Sino-Vietnamese word from 氫氣, composed of (hydrogen) and (gas). The Chinese character  / (khinh) is composed of (khí, chemical radical for "gassy" elements) +  / (khinh, lightweight), due to the lightness of hydrogen.
