Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *buliā, from Proto-Indo-European *bh(e)ū̆- (“swell, puff”). Cognate to Ancient Greek φῷδες (phōîdes, “blisters”), Old Irish bolach (“swelling, blister”), Latin bucca (“cheek”) and Old English bȳle (“swelling, blister”).
