Meiembipe

• Mei-em-bipe (obsolete)

Supposedly from Classical Guarani [Term?] (literally “mountain along the sea”), a name given to the region by the Carijó people.^[1] The term is not attested before the 20th century, however, and can't be formed using Guarani words with this sense.
