From -ун (-un) + -ка (-ka). Later extracted out as its own suffix. Cognate with Belarusian and Russian -у́нка (-únka), Polish -unka.

   ‎English force + ‎-унка (-unka) → ‎форсу́нка (forsúnka, “burner, injector, jet, nozzle”)

   ‎біг (bih) + ‎-унка (-unka) → ‎бігу́нка (bihúnka, “diarrhea”) (colloquial)

• This suffix does not form the feminine equivalents of masculine agent nouns ending in -ун (-un) (see category). Such nouns are formed by the addition of -ка (-ka, feminine-equivalent suffix) to the masculine noun in question.
