Etymology

The present determiner form (좋은 (jo'eun)) of 좋다 (jota, “to be good, to be nice”) + the noun 아침 (achim, “morning”) and the low formality - high politeness (두루높임 (durunopim)) form of 이다 (ida, “to be”).
