From ᰑᰨ (fo, “tooth”) + Proto-Sino-Tibetan *mV-qəm.
Benedict identifies cognates of the second element in Garo ওয়াগাম (wa-gam, “tooth”), Burmese အံ (am) or အံသွား (amswa:, “molar”).[1]
