  1. care; concern; attentiveness, especially shown towards a person, object, or responsibility.
    ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಇಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
    avaḷu tanna makkaḷa mēle tumbā kāḷaji iḍuttāḷe.
    She takes great care of her children.
  2. worry; anxiety; mental unease arising from responsibility or affection.
    Synonym: ಚಿಂತೆ (cinte)
    ನನಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಇದೆ.
    nanage ninna ārōgyada bagge kāḷaji ide.
    I am worried about your health.
    (literally, “I have worry about your health.”)
