إدعش

From اِهْدَعْش (ihdaʕš) with the ه (h) lenited, in turn from احْدَعْش (ḥdaʕš, iḥdaʕš) by dissimilation of the pharyngeal ح (ḥ) from the pharyngeal ع (ʕ) (compare South Levantine Arabic هْدَعْش (hdaʕš)). Ultimately from Arabic أَحَدَ عَشَرَ (ʔaḥada ʕašara).

• The attributive form is used when counting a noun:

• However, some coastal Syrian varieties have no separate attributive form:
