Etymology
By surface analysis, за- (za-) + *тна (*tna). Diachronically, probably from Proto-Slavic *zatęti (“to strike down”) (pres. stem: *zatьnǫ)? Bulgarian Etymology Dictionary derives the semantics from formally unrelated затъ́кна (zatǎ́kna, “to thrust into”).
