Contracted form of αἰσχροεργέω (aiskhroergéō), from αἰσχρός (aiskhrós, shameful) + ἔργον (érgon, deed, work).

      tó te aiskhrourgeîn epáraton òn par’ hēmîn ho Zḗnōn ouk apodokimázei;
      Zenon does not condemn the performance of an obscene act that among us is considered accursed.
    1. (euphemistic) to perform sexual acts
      • Sch., Ar. Vesp..1275d:
        τὸν δὲ τῷ στόματι αἰσχρουργοῦντα

        and the one who performs obscene acts with the mouth.
