History

In the 960s the area became part of Poland after Mieszko I defeated the local Slavic tribes and in the Middle Ages attached to the German Empire, to stay part of various German states until 1945. During World War II, the German administration operated a forced labour subcamp of the Stalag II-D prisoner-of-war camp in the village.[3]
