The 2025 Erie mayoral election was held on November 4, 2025, to elect the mayor of Erie, Pennsylvania. The Democratic and Republican primary elections were held on May 20, 2025.[1] Incumbent mayor Joe Schember was defeated in the democratic primary by Daria Devlin, who later won the election.[2]
Background
Joe Schember was first elected in 2017, winning 53% of the vote against Republican John Persinger.[3] Schember was not favored to win the primary, and lost to Daria Devlin. No Republican has been elected mayor since 1961.[4]
