The 2025–26 Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team represents Texas A&M University during the 2025–26 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team is led by first-year head coach Bucky McMillan and plays their home games at Reed Arena located in College Station, Texas as a member of the Southeastern Conference.
Previous season
The Aggies finished the 2024–25 season 23–11, 11–7 in SEC play to finish in fifth place. In the SEC tournament, they were upset in their very first game in the second round by rival Texas in double-overtime. The Aggies received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as a No. 4 seed in the South Region, where they defeated Yale in the first round before falling to Michigan in the second round.[1]
Following the season, on April 1, 2025, then-head coach Buzz Williams left the team to become the head coach at Maryland.[2] Three days later, on April 4, 2025, the school named Samford head coach Bucky McMillan the team's new head coach.[3]
