The 2025–26 season is the 61st season in the history of FC Twente, and the club's seventh consecutive season in the Eredivisie. In addition to the domestic league, the club is participating in the KNVB Cup

On September 4, 2025, FC Twente announced that coach Joseph Oosting had been dismissed with immediate effect due to disappointing results and the team's style of play. The club stated that a successor would be appointed soon.[1]

Eleven days later, on 15 September 2025, FC Twente confirmed the appointment of John van den Brom as the new head coach. He signed a contract running until the end of the season.[2]
