The 1990 California State Treasurer election occurred on November 6, 1990, with the primary elections took place on June 5, 1990.[1][2] The Democratic nominee, attorney Kathleen Brown, defeated the incumbent Republican nominee, Thomas W. Hayes.[3][4][5]
