Černík, Slovakia

Černík (Hungarian: Csornok) is a village and municipality in the Nové Zámky District in the Nitra Region of south-west Slovakia.

The village was first mentioned in historical records in 1156.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 126 metres (413 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 13.39 km² (5.17 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 1058 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 1048 people by ethnicity 975 as Slovak, 64 as Not found out, 9 as Czech, 8 as Hungarian, 2 as Russian, 2 as Other, 1 as Romani, 1 as Rusyn, 1 as German and 1 as English.
