Etymology
A diminutive in -th, based on Proto-Albanian *wīja (“twisted, woven”), from *weh₁yos (“twisted”), ultimately from *weh₁y- (“to twist, to twine”).[1] Cognate to Latin vīeō, Sanskrit व्ययति (vyáyati), Lithuanian výti, Proto-Slavic *viti.
