Coined by Anthropic's head of product for enterprise Scott White in February 2026—seemingly independently, against previous occasional introductions that represented mere attempts to gain traction in reference to single toolsets and distanced discussions of such and did not have the same semantic breadth—, publicized three days and a year after the term vibe coding from the side of OpenAI, see quotations below.
