   • 1965, “NGÀY XUÂN [SPRING DAY]”, in MINH TÂN, page 58:

     Năm 1909, nhân vụ nhà Cách-mạng Triều-tiên là An-trọng-Căn ám sát viên Tổng-giám (từc[sic] Tuyền-quyền) nước Nhựt-bản là Y-Đằng Bác-Văn nên bị án tử-hình, Mai-sơn Tiên-sinh có làm đôi câu-đối truy-điệu nhà Cách-mạng Triều-tiên như sau :
     « Thân tại Tam-Hàn danh vạn quốc.
     Sinh phi bách tuế tử thiên thu. »
     Nghĩa là :
     « Người tuy ở đất Tam-Hàn, mà thanh-danh thì lẫy-lừng vạn quốc.
     Sống tuy không đầy trăm tuổi, nhưng thác còn lưu tiếng đến ngàn thu. »

     In 1909, in the wake of the assassination of Japan’s Prime Minister Itō Hirobumi at the hands of the Korean revolutionary An Jung-geun, which resulted in his execution, Mr. Mai Sơn dedicated a duilian to the Korean revolutionary:
     “Body in the Three Han, name in the myriad lands.
     Life not 100 years, death 1000 autumns.”
     That is to say:
     “While your person was in Korea, your renown was international.
     While your life did not last 100 years, your death shall be remembered forever.”
