Senhaja de Srair

Alternative forms

Etymology

From a conflation of a native passive prefix inherited from Proto-Berber and the borrowed Moroccan Arabic passive marker تــ (t-). Both systems overlap, making it difficult to assign individual forms to a single source. The similarity between the Berber and Arabic prefixes likely facilitated this blending.
