Typically as an employee at a steel mill or steelworks, a large industrial facility. An independent steelwright would (formerly) be known as a steel master or (now) a smith, craftsman, artisan, or hobbyist.

The construction workers specializing in steel work are more often called steel workers, with the space, when they are not called ironworkers instead.
