Etymology
From pari (“ray”) + kaluk (“crook, bend”).
It is differentiated from pari paus (devil ray) that is "hornless"
Noun
pari kaluk (plural pari-pari kaluk or pari2 kaluk)
- manta ray, but also any species of the genus Mobula
- Synonyms: pari tanduk, pari manta
