pūoga
Livonian
Etymology
From Proto-Finnic *poika (compare Estonian poeg, Finnish poika), from Proto-Uralic *pojka (compare Hungarian fiú). The nominative stem is irregular (*pȱiga would be expected), but may reflect analogy to the inflection type of lēba (partitive leibõ).
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /ˈpuːoɡɑ/, [ˈpuˑo̯ɡɑ]
