   • 1925 April, Pola Esperantisto‎^[1], volume 19, number 4, page 54:

     Kiu nekonis lin, tiu, legante liajn verkojn, povos eble lin diveni, sed neniam ekvidos lian bildon en ĝia tuta brilo.

     He who wasn't familiar with him, will possibly be able to guess him while reading his works, but will never begin to see his image in its entire brilliance.

   • 1926 January, Katolika Mondo‎^[2], volume 7, number 1, La Eklezio kaj la Imperialismo, page 2:

     Vi nekonas Dion, vi ne amas lin, vi ne preĝas al li el koro, kaj vi faras nenion por ekkoni lin.

     You don't know God, you don't love him, you do not pray to him from heart, and you do nothing to begin to know him.
