   As a loose term for a peaked cap (skärmmössa) or side cap (båtmössa) or the like worn by police officers, like in English. A baseball cap would normally be called a keps. A custodian helmet, like a bobby helmet, is a kask, and is a hjälm (“helmet”) rather than a mössa, and likewise for a riot helmet (kravallhjälm) or the like.
