Etymology

    Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese 鏡 (“mirror”, SV: kính). Doublet of kính.

    Attested in Phật thuyết đại báo phụ mẫu ân trọng kinh (佛說大報父母恩重經) as 𦎛, composed of 司 (MC si) + 姜 (MC kjang) (modern SV: tư and khương).
