  1. A common infection of the hoof of animals such as cattle, sheep and goat caused by two species of anaerobic bacteria, Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus; infectious pododermatitis.
  2. A disease of citrus plants, caused by a fungus of species Gibberella baccata.
  3. (slang) Athlete's foot.
