engineered spaceship

English

Noun

engineered spaceship (plural engineered spaceships)

  1. (cellular automata) Any spaceship, often a large one, made of discrete parts that is designed through human effort, often through the aid of computer programs, as opposed to one that may emerge naturally from a soup or a similar random pattern, or a large artificial one that cannot be usefully analyzed as having discrete parts, such as Sir Robin or the Turtle.
