Etymology

From Ancient Greek κρυπτός (kruptós, “hidden”) + -φασία (-phasía, “speech”) (from φάσις (phásis, “utterance”), from φημί (phēmí, “I speak”)). Equivalent to crypto- +‎ -phasia.
