- (comics) A book or magazine that uses sequences of drawings to narrate a story or a series of stories, primarily in a serialized form, usually fiction.
Usage notes
- As the term comic book suggests, comic books were originally composed of comic strips of a humorous or satirical nature. The term has since expanded to other genres as well. Oftentimes, people associate comic books with adventure stories involving superheroes.
